In the game you play as a young man named Billy, who lives with his mother. At the very beginning of the game, Maggie (his mother) buys Billy his first superpower. Since he is strained with money, he has no choice and he gets X-ray vision.
Before starting the process, the nurse who is going to give him an injection should check if he is compatible. As it turns out, yes, but there is more. Unlike most people, who can get a limited amount of these shots, Billy seems to have the ability to absorb an unlimited amount of them. Because of this, he can become the most powerful of all people, but in order to achieve this level of power, he must be careful. In a world where almost anyone can buy powers, anyone can be a potential threat.
